I feel like there’s been more stuff for Jessie coming in than there has been for her in a multitude of years. And to think all it took was millions upon millions of dollars being put into a remake. Worth it. For dat Jessie.

More like all it took was expanding the first part of the original game beyond a few hours of length.
Seriously, Midgar is supposed to be a huge place but we don't get a lot of it in the original.

I'm guessing it's because he only comes in at the very end of the game, probably not worth giving him a full move-set for such a brief section of the game.
It's something to look forward to in the sequel I suppose.
