First off Seventy77, despite the sex scenes, this isn't a hentai. Second, Keyaru was tortured and raped for four years. No one would come out of that as a well-adjusted person, especially without any sort of therapy in sight. Third, even if he's an asshole protag, so what? There is no ironclad rule that all protagonists are supposed to be nice and/or good people. There would be no room for nuance is writers "played it safe" and made protagonists "all-loving heroes" all the time.

First off Seventy77, despite the sex scenes, this isn't a hentai. Second, Keyaru was tortured and raped for four years. No one would come out of that as a well-adjusted person, especially without any sort of therapy in sight. Third, even if he's an asshole protag, so what? There is no ironclad rule that all protagonists are supposed to be nice and/or good people. There would be no room for nuance is writers "played it safe" and made protagonists "all-loving heroes" all the time.

It might not be labeled as one by the creators but a hentai with substantive plot & nonsexual scesnes is still a hentai. nearly everything about it ties to or involves sex in some way. it's a hentai.

Idk, I myself like asshole characters. I really do. But this character is just too much, "asshole", of a character, you know what I mean? Like, I get he's been tortured and stuff, but there's characters in anime who's been through worse and became less of an asshole he is. Idk, I just dislike him as a character in my very own opinion. The only reason why I'm here is for the girl's, really.
