I am not sure of how long the effect of the scales last, but that would be the ultimate humiliation for that cute demon, instead of killing herself, she would've become frieren's bitch.

The effects seem to last as long as Aura is alive. I agree that Frieren should have made her her bitch instead of ordering to kill herself.
