Although her native language is Japanese, her real life voice actress has studied English abroad. She is a blonde and blue-eyed girl who wears a blue and white top and a blue skirt. She wears a lot of red hair accessories. Her name can also be translated as Red Heart. She debuted on June 1, 2018. She is a generally cheerful girl who's willing to try out many things, such as English-only streams, various games, and ASMR. This has led to her reinventing her style and image multiple times throughout her vtuber career. She started off as a slightly timid tsundere who mostly spoke in a soft voice, but can get very high-pitched and loud when scared. During this time, she coined the nickname Haachama as a more casual way to refer to her. As time went on, she steadily became more willing to engage in outrageous antics, which would lead to the second stage of her career. In mid-2020, Haato decided to change her channel name to Haachama and the channel name change came with a significant shift in the style of content she produced. She began delving into surreal comedy, posting short videos that feature her covering various songs in an over the top way, making live action cooking videos where she comically botches her meals though she's at least careful to avoid showing her face/body, and uploading short surreal MMD animation/music videos where she sings a song and chants her nickname. The meaning of Haachama changed to reflect this new wacky persona. This sudden change in personality and style became quite popular and also led to a recurring fan-joke that the original Akai Haato and Haachama are two separate entities with the latter eliminating the former. This would inspire Haato's third stage of her career. In early 2021, Haato decided to confirm that the original Haato and Haachama are two separate personalities sharing the same body. Her content shifted towards surreal psychological horror as the two of them began warring with each other over control of her body with Haato uploading many videos and streams related to this story arc. Accordingly, the name of Haato's channel will switch back and forth between Akaihaato Ch. and Haachama Ch.The Haachama personality typically wears a black, white, and red gothic lolita dress and styles her hair into twintails, which are able to wiggle. Outside of the regular gaming/singing/free talk streams, Haato has an ongoing series called Haachama Sunday. She also inherited Kiryuu Coco's Reddit Meme Review after Coco left hololive.
