Now Viewing: get_downTag type: General Meme that generally shows up in nico nico and youtube videos. It originates from an amusing glitch in the Nintendo 64 GoldenEye game. If someone tilts the cartridge while the game is playing it will cause characters and vehicles to start spinning uncontrollably like pinwheels. A user osteda posted a collection of clips showing this glitch on Nico Nico. Another user named Chomimen decided to set those clips to the song "Promise" by Kohmi Hirose. Afterwards, a user named LamazeP made an animated version of the glitch which turned into something of a dance and included pelvic thrusts and hip shaking along with the recreation of the GoldenEye glitch. The song "Promise" plays on every single animation featuring this glitch as it is considered to be part of the meme/joke. Most of the animations feature various anime/manga/video game characters doing the dance. The name of the meme comes from a line in the song's chorus.
