Now Viewing: ibaraki_kasenTag type: Character 茨木 華扇 "The One-Armed, Horned Sennin" Ibaraki Kasen is a female character in the Touhou games and related media. She is also known as Ibarakasen and Kasen. Introduced in the official comic 東方茨歌仙 (Touhou Ibarakasen) ～ Wild and Horned Hermit (Wild_and_Horned_Hermit), serialized in Chara☆Mel Febri. She is a playable character in Urban_Legend_in_Limbo. An enigmatic "pilgrim" with her right arm wrapped in bandages whose search for the "Kappa Arm" led her into the Hakurei_Shrine. It is soon revealed that there is no arm inside her bandages (amputee), which are instead filled with a mysterious magical smoke. Due to the shackle on her left arm, her suspicious hair buns, and her title implying that Kasen has horns, there is rampant speculation among fans that she is an oni. Some of Kasen's actions, such as her avoidance of Ibuki_Suika, also contribute to the speculation. Since both characters are hermits, Kasen is often associated with Kaku_Seiga, though usually on an antagonistic basis since Seiga is a "wicked hermit".
