Refers to the iconic horror themed 1982 song by Michael_Jackson. It is also the title of the enormously successful album the song appeared in. The album was so successful that it is still the best selling album to date and launched Michael Jackson into superstardom. Images with this tag are most likely referring to the famous 1983 music video for the song, which was directed by John Landis, featured make up effects by Rick Baker, and narrated by famous horror movie actor Vincent Price. The video is quite lengthy and plays out like a short horror film with Jackson's character in the video turning out to be a monster to his date's horror. The video is inspired by 1950s horror movies and is something of a spiritual successor to the 1981 horror comedy film An American Werewolf in London which Landis and Baker had previously worked on and also featured a gruesome werewolf transformation and the undead.

The video is famous for the group zombie dance, which is performed by Jackson and his fellow dancers in zombie makeup. The dance is often homaged and parodied as well as the red outfit Jackson wears throughout the video.

Not to be confused with the fictional genre or the various movies also called Thriller.
