Nevertheless, he seems to know quite a bit about the mysterious deaths that have been plaguing Inaba and often gives out information to the heroes. . . Persona 4 Golden adds a social link for Adachi. Completing it and a making a certain decision leads to a unique ending for the game. The heroes eventually discover that he is the true culprit behind the recent murders in Inaba although the first murder of Yamano Mayumi was actually an accident. Her death as a result of him accidentally pushing her into the TV while forcefully advancing on her led to him discovering his powers. His bumbling personality is a facade and he is not as harmless as he seems. In reality, he is actually a deeply cynical man who strongly resents the rest of the world, feeling that he hasn't been properly rewarded for his efforts. He also hates being rejected by women he's interested in and the deaths of Yamano and Konishi Saki happened after they refused his advances. He wields the Persona Magatsu-Izanagi. Although he is directly responsible for the murders, he is not the main instigator of the game's conflict, something that he himself eventually realizes. Despite all of his misdeeds, the heroes allow him to live after defeating him and bring him to justice. His old partner Doujima also shows compassion by asking for the emergency medical team to treat him. This moves Adachi and he acknowledges the evil of what he's done and behaves cooperatively with the police. He also develops a sort of respect for Narukami Yuu and decides to support him in his own way. He returns as a DLC exclusive playable character in Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold and Persona 4: Dancing All Night. He is voiced by Madono_Mitsuaki in Japan and Johnny Young Bosch, who also plays Narukami Yuu, in the English dub.
