She is the most serious and pessimistic out of all the main magical girls to the point that she appears cold and unfriendly to the rest and her face almost seems to be stuck in a perpetual frown. However, she seems to have an attachment to Kaname Madoka. She is very effective in combat and often uses lots of guns, including rocket launchers. Perhaps because she is such a serious character canonically, it is common for fan artists to take her devotion to Madoka and exaggerate it to comedic extremes; Homura is turned into a Madoka obsessed pervert who often wears panties on her head.
