She is one of the main characters of Spy_x_Family. She is an orphan telepath whose powers were created in a lab. Anya is a deeply lonely girl who has never had a real family. At the lab, she was treated solely as an experiment and her only value to the scientists who experimented on her were her powers. When she escaped the lab and found herself in an orphanage, she was adopted and returned to the orphanage multiple times due to families becoming disturbed by Anya's telepathic abilities. Anya loves the in-universe animated show Spy Wars, so when the master spy Twilight enters her orphanage looking for a child to adopt, she leaps at the chance to convince him to adopt her. Anya readily accepts Twilight as her father and will often make decisions that will help ensure that he will stay being her father. Anya helps Twilight get together with Yor Briar not only because she desires a loving family but also because having a spy father and an assassin mother would be exciting. After Anya is accepted as part of the family, she proves to be a cheerful and playful girl with a love of adventure and peanuts. As part of Anya's strategy to keep the family together, she doesn't reveal to her parents her true nature as a telepath, fearing that if she were to do so, she would be rejected like she was by the past families that adopted her. Anya uses her telepath abilities to help her parents on their missions by doing various actions to steer them in the right direction without revealing how she knows what's going on. She is one of the most emotionally expressive characters in the cast, to the point that one official popularity poll for the series was a poll of which Anya facial expression was the best. Her design is derived from a previous character of Endou Tatsuya's, Ashe from Rengoku_no_Ashe. Anya looks like a cheerful child version of said character. She is voiced by Tanezaki_Atsumi. Tanezaki was a fan of the manga prior to being cast and was one of the seiyuu considered for the role of Yor Briar, but Tanezaki wanted to try out for Anya both because of her love of the character and because she felt Hayami Saori was a better fit for Yor.
