Now Viewing: furukawa_nagisaTag type: Character (古河 渚) Effectively the female lead of the CLANNAD visual novel and its anime adaptations. While the visual novel has many paths, Nagisa is the only one of the girls to play a major role in After Story. She has antenna hair much like her parents, Furukawa_Akio and Furukawa_Sanae. She is quite frail which has held her back from graduating high school. Unlike her theatrical parents, Nagisa is initially insecure, shy, and quiet, but Tomoya helps her overcome her insecurities. She is a nice girl who is willing to put aside her interests in order to help others. She also helps Tomoya open up as well and the formerly apathetic boy becomes increasingly involved with helping the drama club thrive. She is also the only person Tomoya tells about his issues with his father. Tomoya and Nagisa develop a deep and close relationship that is developed further in After Story. She has a fascination with Dango and likes singing the theme song Dango_Daikazoku. Her theme song is composed by Maeda Jun and its melody is a recurring leitmotif throughout the soundtrack. Dango Daikazoku is essentially a remix of her theme song with lyrics. The ending song A palm of a tiny hand, also features the melody to her theme. She is voiced by Nakahara_Mai.
