Now Viewing: hiiragi_kagamiTag type: Character Konata's tsundere best friend. She has purple hair tied into twin tails and is more mature and responsible than her younger sister, Hiiragi Tsukasa. She is a miko at the local shrine where her father is the priest. She is the most normal of the Lucky Star cast and often comments on the other characters' absurdities, Konata's otakuism being her most frequent target. Nevertheless, she cares immensely about Konata no matter how much Konata teases her even if she feels embarrassed about showing it. Kagami does play a few video games and is particularly fond of light novels. In the anime, she is a fan of the Full Metal Panic! series. Along with Konata, she is a very popular character and she even won the 2008 Saimoe Tournament, ranking above Tsukasa and Konata. She is also insecure about her weight even though she is not particularly fat or chubby. Although she shares the same first name as the creator of Lucky Star, Yoshimizu Kagami, she is not meant to be an avatar of the author. Nevertheless, this is likely one of the reasons why Yoshimizu has occasionally been mistaken for female. Thanks to Lucky Star's popularity, she, along with her sister, has been designated as an official resident of Washimiya. She is voiced by Koshimizu_Ami (Drama CD, Nintendo DS video game) and Katou_Emiri (anime) whose career as a seiyuu was launched by this role.
