She is the spitting image of Lacus_Clyne, but can be physically distinguished from Lacus in her more provocative outfit choice and wearing a star shaped hair clip in her hair. She is a major character introduced in Gundam_Seed_Destiny. She is a talented singer with a voice that happens to sound very similar to the beloved singer/political leader Lacus, who is one of her idols. Thanks to this similarity and her own desire to be a star like her idol, she accepts Gilbert Durandal's offer to have her effectively become Lacus while the real Lacus has apparently disappeared from the music industry/political sphere and so that he can use Lacus's influence to strengthen support for his cause. Meer undergoes cosmetic surgery that makes her virtually indistinguishable from her idol and makes 'Lacus' into an even bigger music star with the general public being completely unaware that Lacus has been replaced. In spite of looking and sounding like her idol, Meer's personality is very different from Lacus, being more energetic and upbeat. She is more openly flirtatious when interacting with Athrun Zala, unlike the real Lacus who has settled into a strictly platonic relationship with him. Meer's music is more energetic and upbeat and geared to get her audience dancing. Meer also has little knowledge of politics and lacks her idol's oratory skill, with her public speeches following the scripts that Durandal provides for her. Meer seems bubbly and cheerful, but her persona masks a deep-seated insecurity with herself. She would much rather be 'Lacus' than go back to being her old self. Meer's pre-surgery self is a grey-haired girl with freckles and brown eyes. She is voiced by Tanaka_Rie who also played Lacus. Although Lacus is one of Tanaka's most popular roles, she has stated that she personally enjoys playing Meer more.
