She is one of the main characters of RWBY and already has an established reputation at the start of the story. As such, she is one of the more experienced members of the main cast and often instructs others about the powers featured in the series setting. She is a popular athlete who has even been used to advertise cereal. Despite her popularity, she is very humble about her achievements and friendly to others. She is very self-sacrificing in personality, often choosing to do what will make others happiest even if this comes at the cost of her own happiness. Pyrrha is especially patient with Jaune and is one of the few people to show him respect. She patiently instructs him about the world and is responsible for unlocking his Aura. She also takes the time to help the clumsy boy out during training. Although Jaune does not realize it, Pyrrha is attracted to him. In spite of her many talents, Pyrrha feels that her reputation has alienated her from others. Before she met Jaune, she never felt like she had any meaningful relationships with anyone. Unlike Jaune, no one spoke to her as an equal or tried to build a friendship or romance with her because they all felt she was above their level. Jaune's treatment of her as an equal was what attracted her to him. But after Jaune realizes Pyrrha's feelings for him and gives up on Weiss after learning she loves Neptune, he comes to reciprocate Pyrrha's affection, because Pyrrha is the only person who believed in him from the beginning. In combat, she wields a shield and a weapon that can transform between a Javelin, sword, and a rifle, enabling her to fight from a long distance as well as close up. She is based off of Achilles. She also has power over magnetism. Her power of magnetism is extremely powerful, allowing her to control almost any metal object. However, she usually does not use this ability to its fullest extent, preferring more subtle uses, so subtle that others don't realize what happened, such as redirecting her opponent's weapon so that it misses. Her talents gain the attention of Professor Ozpin who selects her to inherit the power of the Fall Maiden, Amber, so that Cinder won't get her hands on it. Ozpin gives Pyrrha the choice of whether or not to accept, warning her that she may not be the same person after she gains Amber's power, but if she accepts, she may save many lives. Pyrrha agonizes over this decision, but when she finally accepts, Amber is killed by Cinder who gains all of Amber's power. She initially tries to escape from Beacon under Ozpin's orders, but she decides to return and confront Cinder, a decision that leads to her demise, making JNPR the first present day team to lose a member. However, in the non-canon spinoff RWBY Chibi, she is alive and well; her presence in spite of her canon demise is even acknowledged in the skit introducing her. She has two theme songs that are about her feelings towards Jaune: "Shine," and "Dream Come True." She is voiced by Jen Brown.
