It has been adapted into a 2002 video game by Capcom and was represented in All Star Battle. It was adapted into an anime for the first time by David Productions in 2018. The first episode previewed on July 5, 2018, and the full series started on October 2018. The adaptation was chief directed by Tsuda Naokatsu and directed by Takahashi Hideya and Kimura Yasuhiro. It was again written by Kobayashi Yasuko who worked on all of the previous David Production's Jojo adaptations. Kanno Yuugo returns for the third time to compose the soundtrack. For the ED song, David Production chose the song 1995 R&B Freek'n You by Jodeci, as the season's Western song. The song came out the same year as the arc's debut and one the singers of Jodeci, Joel Hailey, also happens to be nicknamed Jojo. It blends the Stand based action with a gangster story and continues directly after Diamond is not Crash ended. The character designs for the series move away from the more muscular designs of the early arcs to a more slimmer and androgynous style. Giorno Giovanna is a teenage boy with a strong sense of honor and justice who wants to be a mob boss so that he can help make Naples a better place. To that end, he plans to join the group Passione and work his way up the ranks. His entry into the mob proves to be a rocky one as he initially angers Bruno Buccellati after Giorno kills one of his subordinates in self defense. However, Bruno sees Giorno's sense of justice firsthand and is won over by him. Bruno recruits Giorno into Passione but gaining respect proves to be uphill battle for Giorno as while Bruno may have faith in Giorno, his compatriots are openly disdainful and suspicious of the newcomer. Bruno's group is assigned by the mysterious head of the mafia to escort his daughter Trish Una to him. Trish is being targeted by various gang members and the boss wants Trish brought to him safe and sound. As Giorno and his comrades fight off various Stand using hit men, they gradually learn that the task the boss has given them is not what it seems to be. . .
