It is a series that both pokes fun at and is a loving homage to hot-blooded super robot anime. It is directed by veteran mecha designer and director Oobari_Masami who had previously directed similarly themed mecha anime such as Gravion and Dancougar Nova. It is written by Koyonagi Keigo. The score is composed by Watanabe Takashi. The OP song was performed by Braven seiyuu Suzumura_Kenichi and the ED song was performed by Isami and Smith's seiyuus Suzuki_Ryouta and Azakami_Youhei. The series ran from January 11, 2024 to March 28, 2024. The series follows Ao Isami and Lewis Smith, two mecha pilots stationed at Oahu, Hawaii. Both are talented mecha pilots but are opposite in personality. The former is a withdrawn Japanese pilot with great potential but a tendency to crack under pressure. The latter is an outgoing American optimist who dreams of being a hero like the heroes in the tokusatsu shows he loves. The two of them, and their respective armed forces are engaging in friendly joint exercises, which suddenly end when the island is attacked by a mysterious alien force known as Deathdrives. The mechas the humans are using are utterly powerless against the Deathdrives and it seems like the island is doomed to be wiped out when a talking super robot suddenly lands in the middle of the battlefield. The robot calls itself Bravern and it declares that it can only be piloted by Isami. With no other options, the panicking Isami reluctantly gets into the mech and pushes back the Deathdrives. Now, humanity is forced to unite in order to defeat the Deathdrives with Isami in Bravern leading the war effort. Isami must now gain the strength and find the courage within himself to successfully pilot Bravern.
