This tag applies when the pupils (not the iris [1]) are extremely small. The iris remains the same size or disappears while the pupil becomes a mere dot or a very small circle.

Generally done when the character is surprised, in extreme fear (scared) or paired with crazy_eyes.

Its opposite tag is dilated_pupils.
